that's Sadraque's technique actually! (* ̄▽ ̄* )
This is incredible!!
I really love the stylized proportions you did here. Would you mind me asking how you made the proportions look so good? I'm trying to learn more but I feel like I could really benefit from your insight, all your art looks fantastic!
Thank you!
To be honest I'm not sure if I can explain my process lol , but I'd say that making some of the clothing elements such as the gloves and shoes "chunky" and a little bit oversized helps a lot. I also drew her head bigger but I kept her eyes smaller, like some characters of 90's anime. Basically the whole time I had the idea to design it "chunky".
I'm not very good at describing my process, but I hope that helps!
I really like how you rendered your lighting, especially on the shirt & pants!! How do you go about doing that?
i start with flats, usually with the local color first, then do the shadows, and after the highlights, that last part is what i think makes or breaks the illusion of what the material i supposed to look like, you know like, if the reflection is too high in contrast it usually makes the material look wet or reflective like a ceramic, so i try being careful in that regard, as for the lineart, its something i need to improve cause i make my folds tooo big for the sake of simplicity but it makes the cloth look thick, so i gotta get better at using refs and doing studies of it.
if its of any use i have the entire process recorded on my picarto for subscribers

P.S. i really like how you experiment and jump between 2d and 3d i hope to see more interesting techniques with that and maybe even a mix of the two
